Photography + Travel

As a nature enthusiast, Beth tramps through forests, deserts, iceberg-laden beaches and mountain streams.  Her photographs reveal her passion, love and enthusiasm for all facets of nature.  Her goals is to capture the beauty of a subject and delight those who see her work.  She approaches each photograph as an artist would a canvas with a paintbrush.

Beth has studied photography with Lonnie Brock, Roger Devore, Freeman Patterson, Andre Gallant, and has become a digital enthusiast with knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and web design applications.

Beth leads a select number of exclusive workshops to locations she knows well.  Her knowledge and skills provide participants with the tools they need to grow with their photography, explore their creativity and visual design and to capture a sense of place.  Beth gives individual attention to each participant’s experience, interests and goals while working in a facilitated and organized group setting.  In addition to providing opportunities to explore, and photograph, a variety of subjects in each locale, Beth provides ideas and guidance to ensure her workshops are rewarding, and, as important, fun.

Beth graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a degree in Finance.  She then continued her education at The University of Texas in Austin, where she received her Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting, with a concentration in taxation.  In addition, she is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

She has more than 25 years of photography experience and is an associate member of The Nature Workshops.  In 2007, she became the group’s first independent female workshop leader.

Beth’s home base is Austin, Texas, and she travels frequently to Arizona, Florida and New Zealand.  Her work has been displayed in galleries in Florida and can also be seen online at www.natureworkshops.com and www.bethsexworthphotography.com
